With 3 days till the Bloodstock madness begins, today we would like to introduce you to Blood Oath, they will be playing The New Blood Stage on Friday the 11th.

The bludgoning metal beast that is Blood Oath was the brain child of guitarist Frazer Hart (previously of Black River Project) who’s desire for writing and performing crushing death metal resurfaced. After recruiting the familiar faces of Adrian McGlennon (drums), David Camp (bass) both from BRP and long term friends Mark “Thrax” Johnson (vocals, previously of Slavestate) and Mike Freeman (guitar). Blood Oath was formed in December 2015 after an invitation by Simon Yarwood of resinevents to enter the 2016 Metal 2 the Masses competition in Leicester.
Blood Oath managed to reach the final and were rewarded with the opportunity of playing the main stage of De Montfort Hall only after four gigs.
By the end of 2016 Blood Oath were given the honour of supporting great acts including Wretched Soul, De Profundis and Scarab.
In December of 2016 they entered Initiate Audio and Media Studios and successfully recorded their debut eight track album with Neil Hudson.
In Feburary 2017 Blood Oath were given the honour of headlining a Brighton Metal 2 Masses show, playing alongside Bleed Again, Enslavement and Slay the Blade.
After having such a great time in the previous year, Blood Oath entered the Metal 2 the Masses competition a second time. Reaching the final, they managed to win a place on the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air 2017.
