Fresh from performing at Bloodstock 2017, London based GraVil made their way down to Scruffy Murphys Birmingham to lay down the hammer supported by Devil’s Playground, The Face of Ruin and Southfall.
Southfall kicked off proceedings in a spectacular fashion working up the Friday night crowd with an injection of pure energy and groove.
Following Southfall were the melodic death metal band; The face of Ruin who despite their name, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a band smile so much onstage. These here are two bands who know how to please a crowd.
The role of main support was fulfilled by Devils Playground who up until tonight had been joining GraVil on their UK tour. Devils Playground are one of the rare bands who manage to expertly wield dual vocalists who blend beautiful cleans with ground shaking growls, throw in some heavy as f*ck riffs and Devils Playground are onto a winner.
Technical riffs combined with face pummelling groove, it’s all in a days work for GraVil.
Opening their set with their colossal track ‘Detonate’, GraVil deliver a plethora of ferocious heavy metal brutality with absolutely no filler material.
