Nixon is thrilled to announce a collaboration with one of the original sideways thinkers: iconic rock band, Metallica. The hardcore collection, which includes six watches plus two Limited Editions, was born of long-shared mutual respect for upstarts who buck the system and wind up changing it for good.  Nixon x Metallica will be available from 10th September 2018  both in stores and online at Nixon.com. The collection includes six hard rocking models, plus two special limited editions.

Master Distiller extraordinaire, Dave Pickerell in collaboration with Metallica, Sweet Amber Distilling Co, and Meyer Sound will unveil the next evolution of whiskey this autumn with BLACKENED. The spirit isn’t just inspired by the iconic band’s music, it is literally shaped by it. The team behind BLACKENED has taken the concept of sonic-enhancement and turned it into BLACK NOISE™, a patent-pending process that uses Metallica’s own music to shape the flavour of this unconventional American whiskey.
Metallica and long-time collaborator, Meyer Sound had already engineered a proprietary subwoofer that could amplify the low-frequency sound waves that Metallica used specifically to hit that range, a hallmark throughout their music. It was pure coincidence that the low-frequency range needed for BLACK NOISE™ (sonic-enhancement) was the range that Metallica frequented in their music. The process of sonic-enhancement that would define the finishing process of BLACKENED was born.
